Saturday School Tutorial Program September through May Many challenges exist today which affect the lives of our children. One of the challenges is the lack of academic achievement on the part of some of our children.At Grant Memorial A.M.E. Church Saturday School, we are working with four public schools in our area to meet this challenge. We need volunteer Tutors and Mentors. Our goals are to help improve student achievement in reading and math; to help students increase their self-confidence and self-esteem; and to involve parents in the learning process. The success of our tutoring program depends upon the efforts and skills of volunteers. We believe that volunteer participation will not only enhance the academic and social behavior of our students, but will also provide the tutors with many valuable and unforgettable experiences. The school meets every Saturday at Grant
Memorial A.M.E. Church (Educational Building) 4025 S. Drexel Boulevard from 8:30
