In sports, a Most
Valuable Player
(MVP) award is an honor typically bestowed upon
the best performing player or players on a specific team, in an entire
league, or for a particular contest or series of contests.
In sharing that acronym, we must ask ourselves, what attributes
do we share with God’s most valuable player, Jesus Christ?
Also, are we following the instructions that Jesus gave to His
disciples? When answering
that question, my heart is filled with joy.
The Grant Memorial AME Church Melodious
Voices of Praise Choir exemplifies what a young Christian
youth should be. You spread
the Gospel by reaching out to the people around you and bring them to
church with you. You encourage one another when needed.
You set a good example for the youth of the church.
You give up party time to praise God. You help feed the hungry
and clothe the naked with mission projects.
You tutor and mentor those younger than you. You attend and
participate in worship service on a regular basis. Most importantly, you
love one another. |
